Walking in Abundance…March Favorites
Hello, Friends!
I am sitting in my favorite chair where I often watch the sunrise out the window in front of me and get a close up look at birds on the lawn out the window beside me. Huge puddles of water are everywhere and still rain comes down. Our sump pump is running practically nonstop and I’m praying it doesn’t stop and flood the basement again. We still don’t have everything back in place from the last battle with
water we lost down there right after Christmas. #yeeks
I DON’T WANT TO DEAL WITH IT! And it is making me a tad bit grouchy and unsettled. Where are my oils?!!! LOL!
Maybe you can help me decide if I should go with the waterproof vinyl which is quite a bit more expensive and would be cold on our feet or with carpet again, knowing that if it floods, it will have to be replaced. Yuck.
I liked it the way it was.
Sounds like I have a poverty mentality when it comes to this decision which brings me to today’s topic.
It’s all about our attitudes, isn’t it? Now on to my March favorites…..
March Favorites
Spiritual Lesson……
I love She Reads Truth and the Bible studies we have done together. You should check them out.
Really.
The topics covered, the scriptures woven together, the insightful devotions and the comments have deepened my understanding and love for Jesus, who is EVERYTHING!
Sidebar: Do you know HIM? Oh, I hope so because you NEED HIM!!!! The whole world does. Everything your soul longs for is found in Jesus and I would be so sad if you didn’t know that and were flailing around expecting others to meet those needs. They can’t and you will be disappointed.
I was slapped in the face again a few days ago with another example of Poverty vs. Abundance mentality, something I’m working on in myself. Well, I’m trying to allow Holy Spirit transformation in this area. But change is slow for me.
Remember before the Passover when Mary, the sister of Lazarus, poured out a jar of Nard on Jesus? Mary obviously had an abundance mentality. She willingly sacrificed her treasure for the future result.
Remember shortly after the Passover when Judas, one of the 12 apostles, betrayed Jesus? He was willing to hand Jesus over to His accusers for a measly 30 pieces of silver. To me that is a perfect example of a poverty mentality. He sacrificed his treasure for instant gratification.
I want to be like Mary, don’t you?
So, I’m meditating on this.
Podcast Episode
I’ve mentioned before about my fascination with the Enneagram. I’m still learning and delving deeper into it and using it to help me understand myself and others. And let me tell you, not everything I’m learning is flattering. Blech. But it is USEFUL and FREEING and CONVICTING which leads to REPENTING and FREEDOM!
Win. Win. Win.
This episode describes what is going on in my brain so well. And maybe you will recognize a bit of yourself or someone you love and be able to grant them a bit more grace.
Please. 🙂
And by all means, tell me in the comments or private message me if you want to discuss! I NEED to talk about this and my family is weary of enneagram this and enneagram that.
I wrote more about this here: What Worked for Me in 2017 and My Favorite Things October Edition
Most Outside My Comfort Zone
Good things come from doing things afraid, don’t you think?
Last summer, Amy Flo and I spent a summer afternoon working on Dream boards. One of my dreams was to host a Holy Yoga retreat. My original thought was a weekend long or even a 5 day retreat at the beach (which I still plan to do. Want to come? ).
Hustle & Flow: Holy Yoga, Dreams, Essential Oils was born out of that. Several of us worked together to present a Saturday morning workshop and we had a BLAST!
We will definitely be doing it again, so stay tuned! And if you attended, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Perhaps the scariest thing I did was a March favorites FB live on my personal Facebook page. I shared my March Wellness Box in a video because I wanted you to know about all the things and it was just easier to blab about it than write it all down.
Have you done anything scary this month? Please tell us so we can cheer you on!
Favorite New Song
Andrew Peterson performed at the Virginia Theater in Champaign at Christmas time and we were blessed to attend. He introduced this song and we got to be the chorus and it was a goosebumpy God moment. Enjoy!!!!
Favorite Weekend
Are you in a life group? We’ve been blessed to be in several and they have all been a gift.
Last weekend, we were in Branson with people we spent almost every Sunday night with for about 8 years. We laughed a bunch and ate yummy food and saw a great production and caught up with one another.
It was just lovely! And it was spring down there!!! My heart needed blossoms and green and warmth.
Discovery
Did you hear about the new organ that scientists have just discovered? You can learn about it in this little video. I think it offers HOPE for people who have cancer and other chronic disease. Just when you think medical professionals know the body, God reveals something new.
Here is what this says to me…..Men and women are foolish to base their philosophy of life on the wisdom of man. People just don’t know everything yet. God is revealing truth one layer at a time and proving his existence and love.
This deepens my faith and trust in the Creator to another degree.
I wouldn’t trust my eternal life to the reasoning of any other human including Stephen Hawking, Charles Darwin or even the Pope. I’d get in the Word and read it for myself.
What do you think?
That will do it for today! I pray you have a blessed Easter and a glorious April!

Hey, Kathy! Well, believe it or not, now we are needing rain. That is the life of a farmer! God will provide though, so no worries. Hope all is well in your world!

Hi Susan, it’s Brenda Begin from LMS. Do you have any openings that I can sign up for a couple of private coaching sessions with you? If yes, how do I do that?
Thank you and Easter Blessings
