The internet is ablaze with talented, creative people who take junk and turn it into useful, funky things.
Take one of my favorite bloggers, Karianne, from Thistlewood Farms. Yesterday, she revealed the so-cute table she made from 4 old table legs and a pallet.
So clever, Karianne!
I’m trying to do some transformation of my own.
I’m on day 50 of 21 Days to a Better Yoga Body. Sadie is pushing me through some powerful yoga moves that promise to strengthen my core and help me get rid of the “pod” that has settled on my belly.
I may never be able to do this scorpion pose-can you imagine?-but, I would like to be as fit and flexible as I can be.
Yeeks!
Or should I say, “Namaste?”
Which leads us to the important question of the morning…….
What do you do when you need to make some small changes or maybe some big ones because your life is a flat-out mess?
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
That is change I can believe in and will do me more good than flat abs ever will.

I wish I were as motivated as you! I tend to let my goals simmer in my mind before I actually move forward. I guess that is a waste of precious time. Great post!

Actually, yes. I want to worry less. You know Matthew 6:25? I have the entire passage memorized, but I stink at living it. I've made a real effort, as of last Monday night, when the Big Guy and I were talking about it for real… and what do you know? I feel a zillion times better. It's almost as if He'd been telling me this all along. 😉

I'm an itty bitty bit jealous of you and your yoga….keep it up!!! I'm working through the Batterson book on prayer….such a new way (and not) of praying – that's one change. Trying to be inventive with just the things I have and not running to the store…even if I think I need to…trying to change the little gray cells toward creativity. I sure hope it helps!! 😀
(Sorry I haven't been by so much….I'm still borrowing my husband's laptop at night…not enough time to write and read….ugh! Left my two laptops in NY…pray my friend can resurrect them and all my data. God is able.)
