Susan Says on Saturday

February 24, 2013 | 14 Comments

I have had a lazy, lazy Saturday and have loved every minute! Things will change in just a little while because we are babysitting this evening with our three adorable granddaughters. The energy level will amp up about 500%.

We will probably listen to lots of music…

….saxophone and violin

….with lots of dancing and gymnastics thrown in for good measure!

Before the crazy ensues, thought today I would share some random things I found online.

You might want to check out this……

Are you on google plus? Me too, but I don’t really know why!

This post inspired me to learn a bit more about it. Christine linked up to this explanation which really helped to clarify. Want to add me to your circles? I will add you back for sure. Maybe we can learn about it together!

And This…..

podcast. I have become a huge fan of Andy Stanley and would make the whole world listen to his practical, un-preachy sermons if I had the power. He just started a new series on love. I’m going to recommend it to all my kids and the single moms in our Push ministry.

Part Two

I didn’t get finished with this post yesterday, so I will continue today. We had fun last night after a bit of drama to start the evening off-two screamers who didn’t want mom and dad to leave them, who also ended up being two fussing because they wanted to spend the night when their parents came to pick them up! Isn’t that a hoot? Kids.
Big sis did spend the night and woke up vomiting this morning. I felt so bad for her.

Has anybody used this product?

It is called Accu Clic Plank flooring. It is vinyl that really does look like wood, and it is supposed to be water and mold resistant. We are considering it for our basement project, but I can’t find any reviews online and don’t know anyone who has used it in her home. If you have, I would LOVE to hear all about it!

And I will leave you with this….

so true

Hope you are having a lovely Sunday afternoon!

That's wild about your grandchildren! My kids were always happy as all get out when we dropped them off. It was always such a big treat to be with Nana And Papa. So sorry about the little one being sick (and I hope it doesn't spread).

I've never heard of the flooring. Have you Googled it? That' my answer for everything! lol!

Hope the rest of your weekend is great!

    XO,
    Jane

Hi Jane! We installed a similar flooring with the same benefits about a year ago in both our upstairs bathrooms…..love it!!!! It was easy to install, easy to clean, and looks like the real deal! We bought ours from Menards, which is like a Home Depot. Sorry, I don't remember the brand. Cute story about the brands! Jane

I just LOVE lazy, lazy weekend days. This weekend was pretty lazy for the most part … and I'm enjoying it because I'll have a 3 y.o. and a 5 y.o. next weekend (Friday through Sunday). 😉

Sorry … can't help you with that flooring. I see see it used frequently on HGTV make-over programs, but that doesn't mean much, does it?

Sometimes a lazy Saturday is just what the doctor ordered! I don't know anything about Google + and probably won't learn…it's all I can do to keep up with Blogger -smile-.

What funny things happen with grandkids, huh? I love all the funny things they say and do. Too bad your little one woke up sick- poor thing.

I will be anxious to hear how that flooring works out. We are remodeling a bus/camper and are thinking of using this, too. xo Diana

Listened to Andy yesterday after reading this. Really good. Plan to continue. Would like to know how your floors turn out if you use this product and how tough they are (3 dogs). Sorry about the sick grandbaby. Hope she's better.

Aren't grandchildren great Susan??? You never know how they are going to be when they visit, but you do know you are going to love them no matter what 🙂

I have heard about this flooring. To me it sounds like a perfect choice for a basement or a bath.

How blessed you are to have the grandkids over. 🙂 Sorry about the illness though.
I love the little photo poster you closed with. Such a great sentiment.
