Stories for a June Day

Stories for a June Day

Hello, Lovely Friends!

What a beautiful summer day we have on our hands here in south-central Illinois! The sky is sooooo blue with the perfect number of fluffy white clouds demanding to be noticed, and the crops are every shade of green and growing like crazy.

Truth be told, I almost feel like we live in a painting about rural life! There are big round bales of hay everywhere, gardens are thriving and the flowers are breathtaking.

I just played pickleball with some great gals, sweating and laughing in equal measure and then enjoyed sitting outside at a friend’s house, enjoying her park-like setting. On my way home,  I ran into a couple of stores where I knew many other customers and was able to catch up and visit. Our county is a special place.

I wouldn’t trade places with someone who lives in a crowded city, where perhaps no one knows my business, but also no one knows my name.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude. I hope you are happy, too!

I could share many June stories with you about eagles, Bible studies, farming, swimming pools, family, but today I’m going to share one about plant juice.

As you may know by now, I LOVE my Young Living essential oils and just have to share our latest oily tale.

Brock recently bought a cute little farmstead that has a beautiful border of evergreens and other full grown trees. We’ve been doing some work over there and are so excited for him to have a beautiful old barn, fruit trees and peonies and roses that are OLD and smell DELISH!
Ok. I’m not sure Brock is as thrilled about the flowers as I am, but I think old plants tell the story of a place, don’t you?
Anyhoo, Brad was mowing around the evergreens on Monday and got bitten by a spider, apparently, in the inside corner of his eye. He woke up yesterday and it was so swollen he could hardly wear his glasses. 🤓

I looked up spider bites in my essential oils reference book and picked one of the suggested Young Living oils, Purification. I put a tiny drop on my pinky and touched it to the outside of the swollen spot being VERY careful not to get it to near his eye. (That would burn!)🕷

Within a couple of minutes, the swelling went down.
We could hardly believe it! He reapplied 1 drop a couple more times yesterday and today it is almost normal!😊

We’ve been using oils now for about 5 years and we know they work, but I’m still delighted EVERY time that I can use something God made to take care of us. He is so kind to us in all ways! He created food with nutrients to sustain our physical bodies, put us in community to sustain our emotional health and even created plant juice to help us when things get out of whack. Thanks Dad!
If you are interested in giving plant juice a try, today would be a great time! The Welcome Home Kit is a

sweet way to dip your toes in the “natural” water and for a short time, you will also get a free diffuser. It is truly a great deal! 🙋‍♀️
This little starter kit includes:
*Frankincense-We use this precious oil for all things skin and under the tongue when feeling anxious. I also like to just inhale it.
*Lavender-I LOVE lavender and use it in multiple ways.
*Peppermint-This is part of the allergy trio along with lavender and lemon. I NEVER want to be without those 3 goodies.
*Valor-Brad’s favorite oil and one that I roll on my feet every day for courage to walk bravely into my day.
*Grapefruit- Such a happy smell that I love to diffuse and also put in my water. Stay hydrated, people!
*Lemon-See above but also put this in your water as a great detoxifier and use in icing, tea and whenever lemon is required.
*Lime-This essential oil is an unsung hero in my book. It tastes delish in water and makes every diffuser blend smell even better. It is also great for cooking.
*Tangerine-Down in the dumps or feeling droopy? Take a whiff of this one! All the citrus oils are great for mood.
daylillies, flower garden, patio
Also included is an adorable wooden oil rack and a FREE Dewdrop diffuser.  I love to diffuse pure essential oils in our home so I don’t have to worry about toxic junk. No one needs to breath more of that!
In addition to all this great stuff, for $125.00,  you also will be added to Blessing Droppers, our little community, where you will find fantastic education and even better friends. I love them.

Reach out to me or comment by the end of the month,  and I’ll help you get started. It will be fun!
Until next time,
