I have a problem, friends. Can you help me?
I am going to have lots of time to read this week while I sit with an ill family member, and I don’t have any books with me. I do have my Nook and internet access, so I need some suggestions of a title to download.
I just finished this book and would give it 8 out of 10 stars. Her writing style sort of reminded me of Jan Karon.
What is the best book you have read recently?
Or, for that matter, what is your favorite book ever?
Please, please, please give me some suggestions.
I usually have a list of books that I want to read and a stack beside my bed that is just waiting. But lately, I haven’t seen anything that interests me. One of my goals for this year was to read 52 books, and at the rate I’m going, I will never make it.
I bet you will point me in the direction of a great title or a new author and I will be all set.
Don’t be shy. Let’s find out what you have been reading so that I can transform my own reading list.
Thank you so much!

One of my favorite books is Firefly Lane by Kristen Hannah. It is not a Christian novel, but I couldn't put it down. It is a friendship saga.

I will say Francine Rivers' book Redeeming Love…which you have probably read already…
Hope your loved one gets well quickly.

I'm currently reading…A Shepherd Looks At Psalm 23.
I recommend Fresh Wind Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala. Sorry to hear you have someone you love that is ill.

7 by Jen Hatmaker is my most recent read. Very thought provoking and she has an amusing style. Just started Catcher in the Rye by J D. Salinger but you have probably read that

Hi Susan, I second Auntie Bliss. If you haven't read Francine Rivers' Redeeming Love, it's a beautiful story. I've read it a number of times. I'm not proud to admit that once I read it from start to finish in 24 hours straight because I didn't want to put it down. I don't think I'll ever tire of the story of unconditional love. It's been a while since I last read it, but now that it's in my head, I'll have to pull it down off the bookshelf and give it another read.
If you have already read that one, I can also highly recommend The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. It's a completely different genre, but if you have an appreciation for the classics, you'll like this one. And then there's one of my all time favorites, The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. But those are some seriously long books, so you have to make the commitment before you begin. Because you'll want to keep reading. 🙂
I'll have to take a look at A Good Dream. I've never read Donna VanLiere, but I do like Jan Karon. Thanks for the recommendation!
