My Easter Gift for You!

Hello, lovely friends!

Want a little Easter gift from me? Sure hope so because I have a little offering for you, my blog readers.

 

I am soooo thankful during this time of craziness in our world-our beautiful world,  where things seem to be spinning out of control and evil appears to be winning the battle-that we know the ending to this story.

When I could make a list of things I heard just today that could scare the-you-know-what out of a person, I am free to NOT FOCUS ON IT.

Are you free to shift your thoughts, too? So many people are trapped in prisons of their own making and that just stinks. They are wandering around blindfolded and don’t even know it.

We were never intended to live this way, and we don’t have to. I want to invite you to Open the Door to Freedom. 

My dream is that this little Bible 101 will spur someone to open the word, fall in love with Jesus and truth, and allow HIM to change EVERYTHING. It can happen!

Here is the back story-

A few years ago, I was part of the leadership for a wonderful ministry for women called The Push Ahead. This mentoring program matched an older woman with a younger one to help one  another navigate the challenges of life. A huge part of it was growing in Christ because we know that is where the answers to everything are found.  After 10 years, the ministry is still going strong. What a blessing!

My Easter Gift to You

As part of that ministry, I wrote a little guidebook for my friends to help them navigate the Bible a little easier. Writing it grew ME and I learned lots of things as I researched and studied.

I’ve always had it in the back of my mind that I wanted to put the info together as an ebook, and when I joined a 90 day challenge on January 1, this became one of my goals.

 

Sidebar: Do you set 90 day goals? I’ve learned it is really helpful especially for a dreamer and procrastinator like me. Lots of ideas swirl through my brain, but most of them never come to fruition. As I learn more about listening to Holy Spirit, I’m trying to sort out which ideas are mine and which might have eternal benefits.

None of us are guaranteed another breath and I really want to spend mine doing what God wants me to do.

Would someone text and remind me of that this afternoon when I spend too much time mindlessly scrolling social media instead of doing something more productive? The struggle is real, people. The mind is willing but the flesh is weak.

Open the Door to Freedom

So, the guidebook has been updated. I learned how to format an ebook using Canva and my friend, Jennifer Moye helped me to get it all uploaded to A Vintage Farmwife. My prayer is that it blesses someone and that God uses it for His glory.

Disclaimer: I am not a Bible scholar and do not claim to be. I didn’t go to Bible college, but I have spent lots of time in church and being instructed by some fabulous teachers. Anyhoo, I might have some errors in this little offering for you, but I sure hope not. Please receive it in the spirit in which it was intended!

What dream has been placed on your heart? I bet there is something and I want to encourage you to DO IT. Admittedly, it is scary to put yourself out there, but I am trying really hard to do scary things and trust God with the results. If you need a cheerleader in your corner, let me know.
