My Cup is Overflowing

November 21, 2012 | 9 Comments

Do you ever have one of those days where you feel God’s love in a big way?

I am slightly obsessed with taking pictures standing under trees.

I am having one of those days this morning, and I am so, so thankful.

Every song on Christian radio is speaking directly to my heart.

I am in the middle of Kelly Minter’s Bible study on Nehemiah and was convicted of some things I need to deal with. Thank you, Jesus, for repentance.

And I read this quote from Jim Eliot, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.”

Truth.

I just heard that a dear young friend is going to be baptized this afternoon, and I will be there to witness as she begins her new life in Christ.

It just doesn’t get any better.

I pray that you are having this kind of day, too!

Susan, I can still remember being baptised. I was 10. I have never lost my faith in God. Always there, always the same…loving and forgiving. Enjoy your holiday. xox, Susie

🙂 what a lovely post! I have never heard of Kelly Minter, but I will be looking up that study. I HAVE heard that quote from Jim Eliot (I went to Wheaton College and there is a dorm name after him, right next to a dorm named for Steve Saint!) and LOVE it 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving (a bit early!)
