A Cinderella Story Hello, Lovely Friends! It is another beautiful June morning here on the farm. We got a soaking rain a few days ago and the corn and beans have TAKEN OFF-you can almost hear them grow! I hope you are feeling calm and centered as you read this, ready to face the challenges of the day but also intentionally looking for all the blessings, too. Just Dreaming.... Stories for a June Day

Stories for a June Day Hello, Lovely Friends! What a beautiful summer day we have on our hands here in south-central Illinois! The sky is sooooo blue with the perfect number of fluffy white clouds demanding to be noticed, and the crops are every shade of green and growing like crazy. Truth be told, I almost feel like we live in a painting about rural life! There are big round bales of hay everywhere, gardens are thriving and the flowers are breathtaking. Are you like me-listening to more praise music, praying more, counting your every-day blessings that passed by unseen in your past, pre-quarantine life? Noticing the flight pattern of a ring-tailed hawk, the deer bedding in … [Read more...]

Cope with Hope When the World Goes Nuts Hello, Friends! Well, we just never know what is coming down the pike, do we? One day we have our long to-do lists, our calendars full of work and fun and appointments, our cupboards and gas tanks maybe closer to empty than full-because who has time to plan and go to the grocery store, or fill up before you have less than a quarter tank of gas? And it is so much easier to grab something in town for dinner, right? Then the next day, we are hoarding … [Read more...]
