My Easter Gift for You!

March 30, 2021 | 2 Comments

my easter gift for you

My Easter Gift for You! Hello, lovely friends! Want a little Easter gift from me? Sure hope so because I have a little offering for you, my blog readers.   I am soooo thankful during this time of craziness in our world-our beautiful world,  where things seem to be spinning out of control and evil appears to be winning the battle-that we know the ending to this story. When I could make a list of things I heard just today that could scare the-you-know-what out of a person, I … [Read more...]

Nine Things I Love Right Now

9 Things I Love Right Now

Nine Things I Love Right Now Hello, Friends- It's been a long time since I've done a Nine Things I Love Right Now post, but I love reading them, so today is the day! But, before we get into that..... Whoa. It is a snowy, cold blustery day here in Illinois. I'm looking out my office window at bare tree branches, a snow-covered lawn, a forlorn Pearl ( our vintage airstream), and I'm glad I don't have anywhere I HAVE to go, but thankful I can still get out if I want! Are you snuggled in warm … [Read more...]

Mother-in-Laws and Lessons

January 30, 2021 | 16 Comments

Mothers-in-Law and Lessons Hello, Friends! Mothers-in-law and lessons I want to learn. Is this an oxymoron? For years, I have wanted to broach a subject that is mainly off-limits. It is whispered about in groups of women or perhaps screamed about in bedrooms and private car rides. Jokes are made and ever-helpful media basically impresses on us that this person is our ENEMY. Did you ever watch Everybody Loves Raymond? A funny touchstone of the show was the relationship between … [Read more...]

Dr. Death, games and good thoughts

Dr. Death, Games and Good Thoughts Hello, Friends! What do Dr. Death, Games and Good Thoughts have in common you may be asking yourself? Let me explain. My boyfriend and I (that would be Brad!) spent several hours in the car yesterday. Sidebar: Can I just encourage you a minute about your marriage? It isn't easy to be in a committed relationship, to work through your problems, to learn to compromise, to work together, to get over yourself and seek the good of both of you. Right? But it … [Read more...]

Practice, Practice, Practice!

January 13, 2021 | 6 Comments

Practice, Practice, Practice Long time no see, right? Here's to fresh starts and new beginnings and the practice of showing up regularly! Well, the world didn't right itself  when the calendar flipped to 2021. Dang it. But God is in control and we trust in His goodness and mercy to us. Did you take a few minutes in December to thank Him for the lessons you learned in 2020? I'm sure you are like me and the blessings outnumbered the weird and awful if we just took the time to notice. … [Read more...]

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
