Birds, Trees and Betty

Birds, and Trees and Betty Hello, Friends! I have a love/hate relationship with birds. And a definite hate relationship with scary movies. When I was little, I remember terrible nightmares that involved bad men from The RiflemanĀ and screaming over and over in my head for my mom and dad, but being unable to wake up. It was horrible. And I still remember my terror all these years later. Then there was the anxiety and dread that washed over me whenever the theme song for the … [Read more...]

Reflections….What Worked for Me in 2017

December 31, 2017 | 6 Comments

Hello, Friends! Wasn't 2017 a good year? Before we rush headlong into 2018, it's good to reflect on God's goodness, don't you think? I could write this entire post about how thankful I am for my sweet husband, kind sons, precious daughters in law, and treasured granddaughters. But, that goes without saying, right? I even bought some pretty new coral napkins and 2 bags of Lindor truffles to put on my table.{So far I have stayed out of the chocolate, but I had better give it away to a chocolate-lover-in need quickly or I might be in trouble!}Instead, this evening I will be crocheting, eating popcorn, and watching Project … [Read more...]

Sweat socks.Gallons of milk.Sinks of dirty dishes.Running.Wrestling.Sports Equipment. As the mother of three sons, for years these words defined my life. And I loved every minute of it!My life is different now because we have 2 daughters-in-law and 3 granddaughters.Estrogen and near-estrogen rules.Along with that comes lots of conversations about decorating, and clothes, and recipes, and nail polish. And sharing magazines. Which brings me to the topic of this post. Hope you are still with … [Read more...]
