Nashville-I Really, Really Like You

January 21, 2013 | 10 Comments

I have neglected my little blog this week because we are on a road trip, but I missed you all so here I am.Hope you are happy to see me, too!We spent a couple of nights in one of my favorite cities, Nashville. Usually, we stay south of town in the Franklin area and we...ok, I....love it down there. Franklin is full of the most unique shops, and the people are so NICE! Many times we hear Christian music playing in the background in stores and see diners praying before meals- the entire place just … [Read more...]

For Your Christmas Library

Home sweet home.We are back from our little trip to Florida. The washer and dryer are humming along happily, and we have jumped back into our normal routines with both feet. Northwest Florida in November was a great place to be, but so is Central Illinois! While we were there, we attended the Flutterby Festival at Rosemary Beach. We talked nonstop for the 12+hours we were in the car together and actually got to finish the conversations we started! Can you imagine how special … [Read more...]

Then the Wind Blew

March 7, 2012 | 11 Comments

Yesterday, I met God's hands and feet. This scene went on for blocks and blocks.Five of us loaded up chainsaws, rakes, shovels, gloves, peanut better sandwiches , and Starburst jelly beans, and headed south to Harrisburg, Illinois. This region was the sight of a deadly tornado just a few days ago.Needless to say, we went to be a blessing to others and ended up being blessed ourselves. Isn't is amazing how God works? He is so good like that.Harrisburg is very near Shawnee National Forest and in … [Read more...]

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
