Brain Spillage

March 19, 2013 | 16 Comments

Today, I am thinking about........1. Paint brushes like this one:                We have been painting and painting and painting in our basement, trying to get everything ready for the carpet layers next week. Everything is requiring multiple coats and this paint brush has become my new best friend. If you don't have a "stubby" paint brush, you need to get one before your next paint project.Yes, you do!google images2. The truth of this quote:sourceNo other … [Read more...]

Spring Starts and Stops

March 12, 2013 | 14 Comments

Hasn't our March weather been "interesting"? It was 63 here on Sunday and yesterday I saw snowflakes several times.Crazy.But, the sun is shining today and the sky is blue.We planted wheat last fall in the field right behind our house and it is starting to wake up and grow and is turning bright green.Blessings.Most of these were our boys'  Bibles when they were kids. Activity is picking up in a big way here on the farm and my boys have SPRING fever. He wanted to look up close and personal at a couple … [Read more...]

Good Morning, Sunshine!I am referring to you, dear blog friend, since it is still dark here on the prairie and I don't know what the weather forecast is for today. We have been getting some much needed rain and we are so thankful that God is restoring some of the water we missed out on during last year's drought. My brain is full today.Remember our flooded basement? We are knee deep in decisions for restoration. The demolition is about finished and reconstruction will probably begin next week … [Read more...]

Sparkle One and Sparkle Two

December 5, 2012 | 9 Comments

I think I am almost finished decorating for Christmas. I bet you are, too. Now if we would just stay home long enough to enjoy the trees all lit up. Know what I mean?We would enjoy driving up to our house with the soft glow in the windows, but I'm afraid to leave the spinning lights of our silver trees plugged in when we are not home. They are OLD and I don't trust them one bit unsupervised. Before she died, Grandma Great gave us her old silver Christmas tree. We were both thrilled-me, … [Read more...]

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
