Transformation: Closet

October 5, 2012 | 2 Comments

This is post is part of my 31 Days of Transformation Series. To view the rest of my posts, check the tab above. Can you tell I am conflicted? Yesterday I wrote about getting rid of excess, and today I am posting about clothing for fall. Yeeks!I am a work in progress.I don't think it is wrong to wear cute clothes, but I don't need to buy more than I can wear or things I don't really like just because they are there or on sale. However, I do think that we all need a few things to transform our … [Read more...]

Fashion Friday-Better Get One

September 29, 2012 | 9 Comments

Do you have a denim jacket? If not, my fashion advice is, "Run out and get one now."I bet you will be glad you did.The girl in this video is a LOT younger than I am, but I am totally going to copy the spirit of her outfits and adapt them to my life.I have two that I love to wear and neither of them is new. It is made from a stretchy black denim.I also have one from Gap that I paid more for than I intended, but it was … [Read more...]

The hot summer days don't seem to be ending anytime soon, so I am seeking some get-out-of-the-same-old-clothes-rut help. How about you-are you tired of wearing the same old shorts or -gasp-capris?Let's hit the sales and spruce up those summer wardrobes, shall we?This outfit from polyvore is very simple, but eye-catching and easily copy-able. Do you have white pants? I love mine.I love this easy dress from Talbots. It could be … [Read more...]

I’m a Little Embarrassed, But Guess I Will Go On

January 14, 2012 | 2 Comments

It is Friday and in my plan for this blog, today we are supposed to have fun with fashion. But as I sat down to write this post, I first checked out a few of my favorite blogs and with just a few clicks of the mouse I landed here.  Where I preceded to get a little smack down on the excesses of my life. I didn't stay on this site for long, but I do plan to go back and read some more when I have the courage. How do these blog girls do it? They home school their kids, … [Read more...]

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
