Beauty Tips and Tricks from Glamour Barn

Hello, Friends! Oh my gosh, I have a treat for you today! Chip and JoJo have nothing on Amanda Connor, or "Trixie," as Brad and I like to call her. And she has agreed to share some of her beauty tips and tricks with us. We are so lucky!!! But, first we start with the backstory.... When my boys were growing up, I prayed that they would have at least ONE true friend who would be there for them. With one true friend, we can move gracefully and confidently forward through … [Read more...]

Cottage Cheese, Cool Whip and Happily Overflowing Blessing Containers

God's Overflowing Blessings

God's Overflowing Blessings I’m a big drinker. Not alcohol, but hot tea, iced tea, coffee, diet Pepsi, and when I’m being health conscious, water. A beverage of some sort always sets nearby. My farmers are big drinkers, too, and I’m always searching for containers to take drinks to the field when the men are working 18 hour days. Meditation for Christians

How to Meditate to Lessen Stress and Increase Joy Hello, Friends! Today we are going to talk about meditation for Christians, but before we jump into the conversation.... One Little Word, Gather

One Little Word That Will Teach...Gather Are you a goal-setter? A List Maker? A reflect-back-over-the-year person? None of that comes naturally to me. Well, except for the reflecting part. I do like to try to learn from my experiences and the only way to do that is to take the time to evaluate what worked and what didn't. In general, I’m a BLUE personality type who is more prone to flying by the seat of my pants. I’m drawn to the “shiny thing over there” and o … [Read more...]

Top Five Role Models-Living a Life of Love and Inspiration

December 30, 2016 | 4 Comments

Hello, Friends! The ball has dropped on 2016, can you believe it? To me, Y2K seems like it just happened , but I guess it has been 17 years. Who knew that I would now be able to ask my new friend, Alexa, all manner of things and she would answer me? Or that Amazon Prime and Zappos would take away my need to go to Terre Haute or Champaign to shop? Those years have been so good in many ways and we are thankful for our bountiful blessings, but I have to admit that I have been a little … [Read more...]
