It is a beautiful warm Mother’s Day here on the prairie, and I am thinking about Seaside today! Hope to get back down there very soon.
Here are some things that have been on my mind this week!
Great Books….
I listened to part of this podcast the other day while I was mowing. Chip was sharing some of the books that he felt Christians should read. I read a lot of fluff, so think I will take his suggestion and dig into something that might improve my mind. After I finish listening to the whole show, I will share his list of books with you.
First, I need to finish the fluff I started yesterday!
American Idol….
I guess J-Lo didn’t read my blogpost where I suggested that she tone it down a bit when she performs on the show.
I had to fast forward through her number when I watched my recording of Thursday night’s program. Gross!
Who do you think is going to win? The remaining three “are in it to win it” don’t you think?
Hummingbirds….
I put out my feeder on May 1st because someone told me that the birds would return on May 2. I saw two the very day I filled mine. I just love these little birds!
Thanksgiving…..
We have all of our crops planted! This is a new record for us. Plan to do a post on it next week.
Stay tuned!
Irony….
I’m not commenting one way or another on our Prezzie’s decision to come clean on his view on gay marriage.
I do find it ironic and somewhat hilarious that the news media, which has done little if any checking into President Obama’s background, had no trouble digging up someone to tattle on Romney’s behavior in HIGH SCHOOL.
For Pete’s Sake.
Apology…..
I know it is rude to discuss politics or money, so if that last comment offended you, I am sorry.
Wish I Were Wearing….

I need some animal print shoes…..that don’t cost $100. These are from Target. I hope I can find them if I ever get back to Target this spring.

I'm doing cartwheels! You added me to your sidebar! Hooray! I'm official now!
When you say Seaside, do you mean Florida? Love that little town. American Idol…boo hoo they sent home my favorite, Holly so I don't think I have an opinion on those that are left.

omg, your new look is GORGEOUS! I love it!
I'm really liking Idol (better than The Voice), but I have no guess who will win; they're all great.
Our hummingbirds are back, too; it's relaxing, watching them flit about.
Thanks for linking up. Have a great week!

I saw a little hummingbird this morning and it was gone before I could show it to the little guy. We don't have a feeder, but we do have bright orange trumpet vines 🙂 Love the outfit that you picked… that green belt is incredible! Happy Mother's Day!

I had to laugh when JLo was dancing with her boyfriend… when will she learn that's the kiss of a curse for her.

Re: Idol. Well the real talent who should have stayed are gone, thanks to the judges, not the public vote, but hopefully will still make their way in the music business if that's what they truly want.
Who will win? Well you know it's already decided – again due to the judges verbiage and actions – and I'm almost certain it won't be the only person with the singing voice whom I would choose! Yes, J-Lo is a disgrace, is not a good role model for our girls, and has very little talent. We have already decided this is our last year with this ridiculous program which has gone from bad to worse the past couple of seasons.
My sweet hummers haven't arrived yet – still waiting and filling the feeder.
Hope you can find affordable sandals. Funny thing for me was I purchased two pairs of flat sandals (pewter and old gold finishes) three Summers ago at, of all places, WalMart – because they looked so cute and comfy. They have the gladiator look which is still trendy apparently, so aren't dated yet. They are truly the best sandals I've ever had! I've worn them just about around the world now as they're easy and light to pack and can be worn any time of day or night, casual or dressy. Still look like new, even the heels haven't worn down, goodness knows what they're made of………….and the kicker (no pun intended)………….price was $12.99 a pair!!!!!!!
