Do you ever have a day when God seems to use an object to teach you a lesson? I had one of those starting with my quiet time early this morning. My day has been focused on mirrors. from pottery barn                      … [Read more...]

Lighting UP

June 26, 2012 | 7 Comments

Things are hopping around the old farmstead this week. I told you months ago that we were planning to remodel our upstairs bathrooms. Well, both of those rooms have now been gutted, and if I ever want them to be finished, I have to make some decisions.Today, I am focusing on the guest bath, which I want to have a vibe sort of like this...                                         or this.I … [Read more...]

Lessons from My Father…..

June 22, 2012 | 11 Comments

...in-law.My husband's father passed away last Saturday morning after suffering from Alzheimer's for many years. For the first time EVER we had corn tasseling on June 11. We knew it was going to be early because  it was up on March 31, but to actually witness it was just … [Read more...]

I’ll Do That Later, Ok?

June 12, 2012 | 11 Comments

Are you one of those people? The one who makes to-do lists, and actually does what she writes down? The kind of person who measures the success of her day by what she accomplishes? The kind who always follows through on her commitments?Obviously, the blog world is full of people who are just like you. I am amazed at the painting, redecorating, crafting, cooking, reading, just plain DOING that some of you describe on your blogs. How you manage to do all that and then BLOG about it is … [Read more...]

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
