Friday Fashion Fun…Spring

March 2, 2013 | 9 Comments

Before we know it, we will be packing away our winter things-or at least shoving them to the back of the closet-and reaching for spring clothes.I don't know about you, but I have some winter things that need to be purged. I would really like to get my closet down to a few pieces that I really love that can be mixed and matched to create any number of outfits. How about you?I think I am ready to buy into the less is more philosophy in the closet department. I want unique but stylish outfits … [Read more...]

I’ve Been on a Trip

February 28, 2013 | 7 Comments

Well, not really, but it feels like it.My "word" for this year is "do".  My goal was to stop thinking about things I want to do and start doing them.So.One of the things I have intended to become a part of is the book club which meets monthly at our local library. I attended one meeting a few years ago and really enjoyed it, but I never made it back. February is going to be my month to get involved. Then I found out the book to be discussed. This one.I DID NOT want to read this book. I … [Read more...]

I have had a lazy, lazy Saturday and have loved every minute! Things will change in just a little while because we are babysitting this evening with our three adorable granddaughters. February 21, 2013 | 9 Comments

Do you ever look back on your years in high school and college and wish you could take some of those classes again?I sure do.Not Geometry-which still nearly makes me break into a sweat.or Chemistry-I have never had a need to solve one of those equations with letters and numbers since I became an adult, have you?I would like to go back and redo my history classes. I was all about the "A" ....or "B".... when I was in school but not so much about the actual learning. Now, there are so many things … [Read more...]

Weight Watcher Wednesday-Food Favs

February 13, 2013 | 15 Comments

Good Morning, Blog Buddies!Well, I have been back on Weight Watchers almost 3 weeks now, and I am starting to get into the routine. I still don't remember to track my food when I am out and about (even with the app I downloaded onto my phone (frown), but I have started to lose some of those holiday pounds.My food-baby is shrinking!Sidebar: I first read that term on Brett's blog. She posts pics of her cute outfits...and she isn't in her 20's. Go check her out if you … [Read more...]

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
