I have been so blessed by this verse the last couple of days, and I hope it blesses you this beautiful Sunday morning. And Then It Rained Some More
It is POURING again this afternoon and I am sick of it.I don't want to seem ungrateful, but this is getting very old.Our beautiful wheat is waiting to be harvested, we have beans that we can't plant, some of our corn looks terrible because the roots are tired of swimming in mud, and our nerves are frayed.Last year, we had a total crop failure because of the drought and hot weather. Scoot Your Boots
One of the events I look forward to is our almost-annual, sometimes-twice-a-year Sister Retreat. My sisters-in-law and I "retreat" to the college town of whichever niece or nephew is graduating that year to shower that person with a little "auntly" affection.We have visited Eastern Illinois University ( my alma mater), SIU-Edwardsville, Northwestern ( I had to miss that one.
