Good Morning, Friends!I am guest-blogging today over at Adventures of D and V. She and her husband are big DIY-ers and are deep into a basement remodel. I don't know how they are doing it. They DUG OUT a basement under their existing home and are now busy finishing it all up. Can you imagine? Hats off to them! For the next few days, they have left that humongous job behind, and are away on a cruise-lucky them!- and she has lined up some of her blogging buddies to post about … [Read more...]

Are you Pumpkined Out?.

November 25, 2013 | 7 Comments

I hope not because I have my go-to pumpkin recipe to share with you today! Fall at our house means lots of apple crisp, pumpkin cookies, and pumpkin muffins. Since I have given up cookies (story to come one of these days), I only made them once this year. Selfish, anyone? Apple crisp and these muffins have shown up several times. And I'm making them again today to have on hand for a quick breakfast treat this weekend when we will have a houseful of company. I love recipes with a … [Read more...]

Chasing the Wind

November 19, 2013 | 7 Comments

This was the verse the other day from a devotional I have been reading.Earlier that day, a friend and I were talking about Americans and our search for contentment, trying to fill our God's size hole. October 17, 2013 | 13 Comments

Is there anything better than homemade bread? I don't think so. If you've never made it for your family, you MUST give it a try. They will love you for it!We have been trying to limit the amount of preservatives that go into our bodies, so I have been trying to do more cooking from scratch.Today, I tried my mother-in-law's recipe for Honey Wheat Bread, and I thought I would share it with you. It turned out great and makes two loaves-one for now and one for later. If you have never made bread … [Read more...]

Thank you Zeke and Camille

Good Morning, Friends! My kids don't want me to post pics of their kids on my blog. Darn it. I am back home after several days spent cuddling and staring at our newest little granddaughter, Hannah Grace. I, of course, am having baby withdrawal and can't wait until she and her mommy and daddy come home for a visit. The day I came home I found a little spot on my forearm where her sweet little head lay that still smelled like her. Brad and I sniffed that spot over and over, … [Read more...]

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
