I’m Not Saying Goodbye to Christmas…..

December 28, 2013 | 17 Comments

December 25thhas come and gone, but I am hanging on to the Christmas feeling with all ten of my need-to-get-a-manicure fingers. How about you?Our holiday has not been perfect by any means. As a matter of fact, I was quite disappointed by some things and some people.BUT...I'm choosing NOT to focus on that, but instead to center my thoughts on those wonderful moments that made this holiday season so special. My Favorite Christmas Memories 20131. Thanksmas with the Shull side. I wrote about this … [Read more...]

Merry Christmas, Dear Internet Friends!I hope you are enjoying this day wrapped in the love of family and friends. But if you are spending this day alone, or Christmas for you is a sad and lonely time- even if you are surrounded by people- please know that the love of Jesus is right there for the taking. This advent season, I have been so touched by the fact that LOVE was born all those years ago. Scripture tells us that Jesus is the physical representation of the character of God-and God is … [Read more...]

I’ve Got This One, Fed-Ex!

December 13, 2013 | 11 Comments

I've done most of my Christmas shopping online this year, so the poor UPS and Fed-Ex guys have been making fairly regular stops. Not as many stops as they would have made in the past though, because we have cut our shopping way down this year. It has been such a blessing to us, and we hope a blessing for the family, as well.We decided to give our kids one practical … [Read more...]

December 11, 2013 | 8 Comments

....this makes even me, a book-lover from start to finish, giggle. You are probably way too busy making delicious cookies, throwing and attending festive holiday parties, and elaborately wrapping gifts to have any time to read right now. But, I want to share a few titles with you that you might want to consider for the snowing winter nights ahead of us.Last January, I set a goal of reading 52 books this years. Unfortunately, I immediately forgot to record the titles as I finished them. That is … [Read more...]

I’m Gideon and So Are You, Sister

December 6, 2013 | 6 Comments

I'm curious, what is God teaching you these days?I am almost finished with the Gideon study by Priscilla Shirer and am just tickled by how God works. Maybe you are familiar with the story, but in case you are not, here is a quick summary.....Gideon was one of the Old Testament Judges and his story is told in Judges 6-8.Because of their disobedience and idol worship, the Israelites had been suffering under the hands of their enemies, the Midianites, for seven years when Gideon was called to … [Read more...]

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
