Bucketlists, Apple Cake, and P. Allen Smith

April 6, 2017 | 13 Comments

Bucket Lists, Apple Cake and P. Allen Smith Do you have a bucket list? I have had one in my head for some time but have never actually committed it to paper. That is about to change. I spoke this week to the CEO class of our local high school about blogging-what a privilege to speak to these talented kids! They were so polite and engaged and asked great questions. I mentioned my "bucket list" and referenced things I had done that were on it. When one of the girls asked me what was on my … [Read more...]

Wonderstruck by God Hello, friends! Welcome!  I want you to know I'm so glad you are here today. I'm wonderstruck and blessed  so much that you read, share and comment! Mwah! Brad and I just got back from a little adventure on our anniversary tour. How to Help My Neighbor

How to Help My Neighbor Hello, friends! Can we discuss something hard today? This is a topic about which I'm so conflicted. I'm not confused about if I should do it, but I'm mixed up about HOW to do it. I want to talk about loving my neighbor. About how to help people. When Jesus was asked by a Pharisee which commands in God's law were the most important, here was His answer: Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence. This is the most important, the … [Read more...]

Cottage Cheese, Cool Whip and Happily Overflowing Blessing Containers

God's Overflowing Blessings

God's Overflowing Blessings I’m a big drinker. Not alcohol, but hot tea, iced tea, coffee, diet Pepsi, and when I’m being health conscious, water. A beverage of some sort always sets nearby. My farmers are big drinkers, too, and I’m always searching for containers to take drinks to the field when the men are working 18 hour days. It seems the thermoses disappear, water jugs get lost or left in pickups at the other end of the field. I have to use whatever containers with lids I can find … [Read more...]
