Thank you so much for visiting A Vintage Farmwife. I am so glad you are here!
I am a farmwife who once was a farmer’s daughter
….and granddaughter
….and great-granddaughter
….and you get the picture!
I taught junior high language arts for many years after staying home with our three sons when they were little. Those years flew by and were very special, and I am so glad that I was able to stay home with them and that we resisted the urge to follow the crowd to the workplace.
When one of my dear friends was diagnosed with lung cancer, I began to do some soul-searching and decided that I wanted to take early retirement. Life is so short, and I wanted the time to do other things-things that would matter for eternity, not involving lesson plans, staff meetings, or disciplining 13 year olds.
Know what I mean?
So, here I am.
Living a different but very fulfilling life. Now I have time to help others, volunteer more at church, spend more time with family, AND do some of the things I have always wanted to do, like blogging!
Please come back often, comment, and we can become friends. I would love that!
