Hello, Friends!
The ball has dropped on 2016, can you believe it? To me, Y2K seems like it just happened , but I guess it has been 17 years. Who knew that I would now be able to ask my new friend, Alexa, all manner of things and she would answer me? Or that Amazon Prime and Zappos would take away my need to go to Terre Haute or Champaign to shop?
Those years have been so good in many ways and we are thankful for our bountiful blessings, but I have to admit that I have been a little melancholy this month, when I have slowed down enough to let myself notice.
(Run from your feelings anyone? I know, I constantly preach in Holy Yoga to “feel the feelings” deal with them and let the Father heal, but, darn it, it’s hard.)
This year for the first time I can remember, I wanted to scream, “NO MORE CHANGES, PLEASE.” I’m tired of losing people-people who have traveled on to HEAVEN, their permanent address, or people who have moved on to other “locations” by choice.
“Leaving” stinks.
But, that isn’t the way life works, so I just have to deal with it. And I am.
I’m trying to soak up the uniqueness of the people I encounter, and I’m amazed by them. Everyone has a story to tell and lessons to teach one another, and I want to learn them.
I’ve had some marvelous people share their wisdom with me and I’ve observed the way others live and gained much from them. I’ve had a chance to write about some of them, and I’m gathering it all up in this post. Perhaps you read these the first time around, but you could use a dose of encouragement today. Or maybe their words and life stories are new to you.
Either way, I hope these posts give you the nudge today to be totally, uniquely YOU! The world needs you to be you.
