I know everyone else is busy putting up their Christmas trees and stretching garland and lights, but not me.
At least not today.
I am dreaming of new paint colors for the new year. Time flies, and it has been longer than I think since we have spruced things up in the main level of this farmhouse.
Change is good, right?
I love the happy brightness of the Ethan Allen Vintage line, and I am going to attempt to have a similar vibe in our home.
All of these pics are from my pinterest boards via the Ethan Allen website. I apologize for the fuzziness.
I was recently looking through a stack of old BHG magazines and found these blogger painting tips. We all know bloggers are GREAT sources of info so thought I would share some of the ideas I found most useful.
Hopefully, you might learn something from them, too.
Here goes…….

I love color – have done it all – from red walls to white walls! I prefer neutral furniture and punching up the color with accessories, rugs and paint.

Great hints. I have to admit that I just don't have the eye to pull off great design and need all the help I can get.
I can't wait to see pictures of the finished project.

These are really great tips Susan! I am really rotten at choosing paint color and I think that's why my house is all white : )
Your blog is so lovely!

I LOVE creamy white walls….even thru all the red, brown, beige walls, I stuck with white.
I have black wooded shutters on my living room windows..can't tell in your first image if those are shutters are black drapes.
And the color theme throughout my house is black and white, with touches of red. :)) Sooo, I LOVE your first photo best. 🙂

It is surely hard to keep up with trends and just upkeep in general in a home…whew…so many things need doing here but we can't just spend…so…I've got some tile floors that are way out of date that kind of embarrass me…isn't that a shame…I'd better just be glad I have floors!
I like those big buffalo checks on the chairs!
