Friday Fragments..I’m Wordy II
I enjoy participating in Half-Past Kissin’ Time‘s Friday Fragments Brain Dump, so I’m dumping the answers to these questions as my contribution this week!
1. Name one thing you would like to learn to do and why.
I have two cans of Anne Sloan chalk paint, wax, and a brush in the garage calling my name. Anne’s paints are all over the DIY blogs that I read and I have been wanting to give them a try for a while now. When we were in Florida, I bought some but haven’t had the chance to use them yet. I am hoping today is the day! I will definitely post pics and my opinion of this product.
2. What is your favorite movie?
I love to go to the movies especially matinees or late, late showings. Those times make it seem really special to me. However, I seldom watch a movie more than once and very rarely purchase one. I want to give a mention of Mirror, Mirror, Julia Roberts new movie which comes out next weekend. My bff’s son is the stunt man for Arme Hammer in this film! We are so proud of Kyle, and I can’t wait to see it. My friend and her husband were on set for a week and I heard all about it, so I am EXCITED for all of them!
3. If you could have dinner with anyone who would it be?
I feel guilty for not saying Jesus, or Abraham Lincoln, or my grandmothers, but today, I am going to say Barbara Bush. I have always thought she seemed so warm and fuzzy and definitely has an interesting story to tell. She is also old enough that she might be willing to let her guard down and be really honest, sharing some of the nitty gritty of being involved in politics.
4. What have you learned about yourself since you began blogging?
I have learned that I can too quickly become obsessed with numbers! My old nemesis “comparison” has reared its ugly head during this new little venture, but I need to learn to control it and just be “ME”, so I am sticking it out. Does anyone else out there struggle with this?
5. Why do you blog?
I started blogging because I have been a fan of many blogs for many years, and I thought it would be fun. It has been. I wanted a chance to learn new things and not lose what technological skills I possessed when I quit teaching everyday. I have definitely learned! I also wanted a chance to make some new friends across the world. I have already met several other bloggers and can’t wait to meet more. So….blogging works for me!
Anyone else want to participate in Eleven Questions? If so, leave a comment and I will send you the questions and give you a shout out!
Have a great weekend, friends.
Hugs,

Love your questions! I host a 5 Question meme called Meet Me On Mondays on my blog if you're ever looking for some more fun questions to answer.

You will LOVE Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I have painted several pieces with it and it is truly like no other. I absolutely hate sanding and stripping so not having to do that with her paint is sooo wonderful!
Stopped by from Friday Fragments. Happy Friday! 🙂

I love how you format your Friday Fragments.

I love your answers. I have been thinking about getting some of the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, too and I have a few projects in mind, but I haven't bit the bullet yet! It's expensive! All the more reason not to make mistakes! I can't wait to see what projects you have!

I get obsessed with the numbers too….and I love blogging and do it because it's a good outlet for the things I think about. Of course, sometimes I can't tell the "rest of the story" because some of the "rest" may be reading! 🙂

Susan, we have a lot in common! My niece was a body double for one of the characters in the John Carter movie. (She is also a professional stilt walker. Who knew that talent would come in so handy?! 🙂
I can't wait to see Mirror Mirror.
I can't remember the last time I looked at the number of followers I have. These days, I'm only consumed by the wonderful relationships I've fostered through blogging. Isn't it great to be part of the blogging community?!
Thanks for linking up! Have a great weekend.

OHHHH YESSSS!!! I constantly am saying that to myself as I run, "Comparison is the thief of joy" because its so easy to look at everyone else & just want to give up!!!!!
That's exciting about Mirror, Mirror! The movie looks fantastic anyways!!!!
Barabra Bush is your choice???? Oh lady – we are definite friends. I ADORE her! Love her fiesty nature!
Doreen says
Susan just be yourself and have fun and the numbers will take care of themselves. If I write that enough I may take my own advice. My life has been taken over by numbers..anyway..I bet Barbara Bush would be honest and have quite the stories to tell.
Have a positive week:)

I'd love to participate sometime in Friday Pragments.
Love your answers. When I first started blogging, I got caught up in the numbers. I also quit because I didn't like that part of me but now I just (try to) forget it.

I just wanted to say that I was struck by how in your little "about me" blurb, you say you want to be a follower, not a fan, of Christ. I love that because it is easy to wear the banner of being a Christ lover, but it can be much harder to follow him quietly when no one is watching. Thanks, Susan!
