Roots and Wings


I am always amazed at how God works things out.

You know, the world tells us to go one way, but it isn’t the right way. One thing we know for sure, Satan does not have our best interests at heart. He tempts us with things that might bring pleasure for a short time, but there is usually always a bitter center in the middle and end of what first appears to be so attractive.

God on the other hand, has big plans for his children. As a mom, I want only the best for my boys, daughters-in-law, and grandkids.

I want them to have a close, intimate relationship with their heavenly Father. I want them to fall in love with the spouse God created just for them, to have a soul mate to share the joys and struggles of this life.

To have children whom they love with every cell of their being, to know what it is like to “have their own hearts walking around outside their bodies” ( I love that description of being a parent, don’t you?)

To have a career that brings them satisfaction and a sense of purpose.

To have dear friends to laugh and share fun times and to be there for them when things are falling apart.

I want all of this for my kids, and I’m just a human parent.

How much more must our Heavenly Father-who IS love-wants for them.

I pray that I will listen to the Holy Spirit as He guides me through the holy scriptures to do what God has planned for me today and every day.
