Farmhouse Food

I was invited to attend a meeting today that reminded me of this book, which I loved.

Sweet “mature” ladies who have been meeting together for 20+ years. Anyway, roll call was an April Fools Joke played on you this year. One of the members said she had recently started a new diet. When she stepped on the scales, she had GAINED six pounds. Now that is a stinky situation and not funny.

I complained about my winter weight gain here, so I know how frustrated she feels. I have been off and on the weight loss wagon since then, and I have lost ONE pound.

I want my estrogen back!!!!

Oh. Well.

In my search to satisfy my sweet tooth (s) in a more healthy way, I tried these yummy Pina Colada Cupcakes from Skinnytaste.

And these Flat Belly Brownies from Prevention magazine. I have to say mine looked better than these from the Prevention website, but I was too preoccupied with my company to get a pic. Next time.

Both of these recipes get 5 stars from me, and I will definitely make them again.

Confession: The brownies are healthier if you only eat one. I did not. Don’t judge me!

Help a girl out. What are your favorite healthy treats?

Hugs,

Welcome!

I am so glad you are here today. I come from a long legacy of farmers and am married to a handsome farmer now. Some of my favorite things are cooking, yoga, essential oils, and most importantly, Jesus!

I live a different yet fulfilling life here on the farm. I hope you will find encouragement within these pages and know that you are loved dearly by the King!
